Windows login locked account

Hey for some weird reason I was not able to login to my windows 11 pc and I didn’t change the password

I get this error msg now

The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to.

I have tried several options to reset the password but with no luck at all

If any 1 could plz help with some info on how to fix this type of issues

If it's a local account, you'll need to use another account to unlock it, if it's a Microsoft account, you'll need to follow this process to unlock Microsoft account has been locked - Microsoft Support

As far as I know, that message usually means the Windows account is locked because there were too many failed login attempts. This can happen even if you didn’t enter the wrong password yourself. Sometimes it’s caused by a background service or another device trying to log in with old credentials.
The first thing to try is simply waiting. Account lockouts are time based. If it’s a local account, it often unlocks itself after about 30 minutes to a couple of hours. Leave the PC turned on and don’t try to log in during that time, otherwise the timer may reset.

Everything so far advised is all true but if you use a MS account, it can also be an indication that someone else has been trying to access your MS account online. Thus, MS locked the account to protect your Outlook and Onedrive data.

Could have been a server issue. Trying to change your password could make it worse.
