Windows OneDrive folder and file properties

Has anyone tried, and can confirm:

If you copy a file from the OneDrive folder in Windows to another folder on the same drive, then the “Modified” date is unchanged.
I have only tried this on the same computer.

But what if there is 2 computers:
Computer 1 copy file A to the Windows OneDrive folder.
Computer 2 (another computer) copies file A from Windows OneDrive folder to another local folder on its drive
Is the “Modified” date unchanged or updated?
If both computers log in to the same Microsoft Account, that's the way OneDrive works. My System One and System Two both log in to the same Microsoft Account and it's totally transparent which computer I'm using as I keep all my data and photos in my OneDrive folder.

Thank you for your reply

But have you tried to do the experiment I describe?

Computer 1 copy file A from its local drive to the Windows OneDrive folder.
File A has modified date 2023.
Computer 2 (another computer) copies file A from Windows OneDrive folder to a local folder on its local drive
Is the copied file A on the local drive modified date still 2023?

It's simply a matter of understanding how OneDrive works. If a file is in the OneDrive folder, it is synchronized with cloud OneDrive. If a file is not in the OneDrive folder, it is not synchronized with cloud OneDrive and is a local file only.

It's simply a matter of understanding how OneDrive works. If a file is in the OneDrive folder, it is synchronized with cloud OneDrive. If a file is not in the OneDrive folder, it is not synchronized with cloud OneDrive and is a local file only.
It was regarding this:
Computer 1 copy file A from its local drive to the Windows OneDrive folder.
File A has modified date 2023.
Computer 2 (another computer) copies file A from Windows OneDrive folder to a local folder on its local drive
Is the copied file A on the local drive modified date still 2023?

it is because, if I download a file from OneDrive online browser then the files "Modified" date is being updated.

I know you tried to answer it earlier

Thank you
