For the last week or so I noticed that Security app (blue shield on taskbar) will not open, at all. When I can finally get to the menu, everything has a "green" chkmark .. but I cannot open any option, no scans, nothing .. Firewall (afaict) appears to be working but there is no choosing active menu options. I thought bc I could not get to any Security scan option that I got infected by some malware, so 4 full re-installs later, each one having it work for maybe 10mins, then error msg, it is - still - inoperative.

I know it's gotta be a Win Update locking this out .. tried uninstalling all the updates and rebooting after each, still not working .. Following the Doesnt Work link, the Store has nothing ..

Anyone else see this?

Try re-installing the Security Center app, by downloading & running:

The issue is, NOTHING will reset WS app, or allow it to open. After - 7 - clean installs now, each time, it works as it should. 'Opens, scans, everything is fine until it gets the Beta or one of the Intel updates (tracked it down to that). Nothing above works to reset/reinstall WS .. so this Lenovo i7-7500u Flex4 will just go back to 23H2. I just dl'd the iso, so loading a Rufus thumbdrive with that, I HOPE that will be the end of the problem.

.. thanks anyway for the suggests. It's clearly a Beta (PR) bug affecting this laptop. My 26058.1000, i5 desktop, isnt affected. but then it doesnt have that PR Beta update (no TPM yet).
