ITOps Talk Blog:
Building on the learnings from my team’s Virtual Event “IT Ops Talks: All Things Hybrid”, two years ago – we learned that content is king, and technical content is the gold standard for a technical audience. Therefore, we partnered with Windows Server Marketing, a number of engineering teams across Microsoft, our friends over at Intel, and the MVP community to put together the next iteration of Windows Server Summit.
Welcome to the updated and redesigned Windows Server Summit.
This year's rendition of the annual event will be a three-day virtual event with a mixture of live and pre-recorded technical sessions with Windows Server at its core. It will be leveraging the Tech Community platform in a format they call a “Technical Takeoff”. We’ve held an internal and external call for content and selected the best sessions from a diverse set of speakers. Don’t worry – there will be a mixture of the usual suspects along with some new folks you haven’t met yet.Topic wise: it will be wide ranging covering all the new goodness of Windows Server 2025, on-prem and Hybrid scenarios, Azure Arc, Identity, Virtualization, SMB updates and more!
Besides all this content goodness – what about the INTERACTION? How do YOU ask questions? How does this go beyond some pre-recorded videos you could catch at any time? Well, we’re supporting two options this time around.
- During the Live Broadcast – Speakers and Engineering teams will be monitoring and interacting with the Tech Community Q&A as well as the interactive YouTube Live Chat. You can ask questions and interact with them on either of these endpoints.
- After the scheduled broadcast – Technical questions can be posted via Session Comments in Tech Community. These will be available and monitored DURING the session as well as after the session has aired. Experts will be engaging and answering any questions that show up in this area during and post event.
Important note: you will need to be a member of Tech Community to post questions in the Comments section. If you’re new to the Windows Server Tech Community you can sign up here. |
Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing more details, a full schedule of content as well as a complete speaker lineup leading up to the event.
This is your official notice to “Save the Dates” for the virtual event. It will be taking place March 26th through to March 28th.
