Solved Windows Update Intel and Realtek Failure--Please Stop!

Windows 11 Home, ver 25H2 build 26200.8894
I'm constantly getting this Update failure for 2 driver updates. Is there a way to get rid of them so they disappear from the "Download & Install" area? I have just run the Disable_include_drivers_with_Windows_Updates.reg inclusion to the Registry and rebooted. It may take care of future attempts to install but is there a way to kill the current attempts?

Try pausing the updates then select Resume updates.

It could be that those drivers are Not for 23H2 yet.
I just updated today after pausing for two weeks
and realtek updated. I also had the opportunity
to update the Intel software and declined the offer.

Thanks. At least hitting Pause did remove these from the list awaiting Install. And a few moments later I hit Resume and they both popped back up along with the TP-Link download. Maybe after a few days they will finally disappear for good. O as suggested maybe the .reg isn't working.

Also, consider trying the Microsoft "Show of hide updates" utility located here:


Note that Windows may complain that "this kind of update may harm your computer". That is expected behavior now. Save the file of run it directly anyway. This comes directly from Microsoft.

Follow these steps:

Run the utility.
Click "Advanced".
Uncheck "Apply repairs automatically".
Click "Next".
Select "Hide updates".
Check the updates that you want to hide / prevent from being installed.
Click "Next".
Close the troubleshooter.

NOTE: There is an option in Windows settings troubleshooters that appears to run this same troubleshooter but automatically runs advanced mode without giving you a choice to hide updates. Also, I realize that this tool will eventually be deprecated, but it still works :-)

Finally, there are other options. For example, you set a group policy to prevent certain drivers from being updated, but I believe you need the Pro edition of Windows to make use of that.

Looks like there's a change of plan concerning the download you've offered for wushowhide.diagcab - it is a broken link. Here is a page that explains what is going on with this utility. But the program is still available from Major Geeks here. Watching the Major Geeks dude's video explaining the program can be helpful, just scroll down the MG download page and you'll see the video if your screen is as small as mine. But I did download the troubleshooter and followed the instructions that are the same as your instructions and we'll hope for the best.
EDIT: I should mention a vital tip the video explains at the very end, that after running the utility do NOT run Windows Update Check again, just close the program. Watch the video.

Sorry to quote myself :woozy: but the wushowhide utility finally did the trick. The offending updates have been vanquished!
