I'd feel more safe with the executable (which isn't free).
And I don't trust any program that needs or offers to download things.

I like to have the option to scan anything I download at an outside source, like Virustotal for example.

I totally agree with what all the others have said. It was mentioned there was no link so I gave one. The direct link to ChrisTitusTech.com is there as well. Although that developer has touted his utility for years, personally I still would not trust it, paid or free. There are too many well-documented, trusted apps available that will do what his utility claims to do and more. What with Winaero Tweaker and Brink's trusted tutorials, that's plenty sufficient for me.

For the most part, I still like doing my own tried, tested and true tweaks myself, one by one!
Less chance of hiccups. There's a certain satisfaction in it too!

You don't DL anything... It's Powershell Based guys. I've used it since the some years back. I'm not at my computer but it's a simple cmd if I can find it (you have to open as Admin in Powershell

(copy/paste) iwr -useb https://christitus.com/win | iex (Remember to run as Admin with Powershell)

I tried it, but the 'create WinUtil shortcut' just creates a shortcut to This PC and places it on the desktop! Not very useful!

I've used it for a while and had no problems. I did try it on a VM first just to check nothing untoward was going to happen.
Of course a Macrium Reflect image for using it. I love that program.

An app that does not need to be instilled with all of the below is very useful. It can also be installed .

I ran the 'system corruption scan'. This runs chkdsk, SFC, DISM and then SFC again but all with no explanation and it does not show the exact command used. It's very clever but I would like to know the exact commands it is running and the option to run or not.

I've used CTT WinUtil for several months now. It's the first app that I run on any clean Windows install since I'm able to not only install pretty much every app I regularly use, but I'm able to tweak my system the way I like it.

I've had zero issues with this software.

Yes you don't download anything, There is an executable you may download and pay $10 USD for but you don't have to.
He shows you in the video how to run it from admin level in PowerShell with a CMD line. Repeat -You don't download anything. You guys need to view the video, he explains it all !! Looks like I have a tough audience here.

It isn't a utility I would use because I prefer to admin and maintain my PC myself and am not keen on tools like this one can make a lot of under the hood changes to applications and especially to Windows. I'm a retired IT Manager and learnt by hard experience to not tamper with the OS unless I have to.

Finally, I say to anyone who uses tools such as this one make sure you have a current system backup using reputable system image backup software like Macrium Reflect or AOMEI Backupper first.

That's great but not everyone is like you LOL , some people like these tools to tweak their system like me. Yes I do regular images of my system with Macrium Reflect everyday !!!
The F8 Boot Recovery is a bonus for me as it is very convoluted process to get into Safe mode when I need to update my GPU drivers (Nvidia) using DDU , always install new drivers in Safe Mode !!!
