Windows Web Experience Pack problem

When I open the widgets app from taskbar, after closing it, all desktop shortcuts behind the widgets window become unresponsive !!!
No selection can be done, no double click, can't move the icons ... nothing.
This lasts for about 15 seconds and then all are fine again.

When I turn off Accessibility -> Visual effects -> Animation effects then the problem disappears.

After searching this should be a problem of Windows Web Experience Pack because with the previous version there was no problem.
Has anyone else the same problem and any idea how to overcome this annoying behavior ?

Yes , same problem on my rig also .
When closing widgets ( from taskbar ) , all is unresponsive !!!
After about 10 seconds , all fine again........
Did not found a solution , so far .
sfc \sannow , etc .........:unsure:

I had this problem since March 2025 when i bought my laptop.
Suddenly the problem disappeared in August 2025 and then I noticed that reappeared in September 2025.
The problem must be this app, let's hope they fix it in the next version.

Will try to uninstall/re-install this Web Experience Pack.............. :wink:

Just remove the widgets , reboot and install again....... :wink:

Since widgets are one of the first things I get rid of in a new installation, I am unable to help with problems associated with them.

If you don't want to use widgets you can disable them.
