Wireless mouse and keyboard recommendations

Does anyone have a wireless mouse and keyboard combo that they're happy with?

I have a fairly basic logi and although I like the design, it doesn't function right. Right off the bat I noticed the dongle has to be within 2 feet of the keyboard or it won't respond to every key I press. And plugging in a usb drive in a port next to the dongle causes the same issues. Ok fine, I can work around it, but now the mouse wheel scrolls in random directions (roll up and the page might go up or down) and the left click takes a lot of pressure to make it respond. In 6 months or so, the switches have already worn out.

I'm not very picky but I need an on/off switch easily accessible on the keyboard and for both devices to share the same dongle. Other than that I just want it to work and last longer than 6 months.

I've used various wireless Logitech products without any problems. You can put the RF dongle on the end of a USB extension cable and place it say under the monitor if the signal strength is poor connected directly to the PC.
