word stop working and restrt itself

Hello.From Saturday 8/23 i notice that word stop working and restart ist own when exit form a doc.Appears a window message : '' word stop wokring'' and a next one " word restart''.This appears to docs while using mathtype addon at ribbon.I unistall math type and reinstalling but nothing change.I try repair office via internet but failed (appears a message :repair failed due compatibility issues) and all porgrams are gone.Next i try to use restore point.The icons of word e.t.c appears but all programs of office not start.Also i could not unistall it form programs and features.So i reinstall it via iso file that i had dwonload it 5 years a go.For a week seems the issue was gone but yesterady reappears.When i use mathtype ,but after that simply when start a doc and clik>exit*without using mathtype).I do not know what i do.I have microsoft 365 and the latest version of mathtype.I am not sure anymore if is mathtype issue or word or both of them

Hi.

Sounds like if that add-in gets loaded into Word, it corrupts something that stays corrupted even if it’s uninstalled.
My guess would be not to use that add-in anymore.

How are you removing that Add-in?

Can you give me a link to somewhere on the internet for that add-in?

Edit: I think I found it. It’s a paid add-in? When is the last time you updated the add-in, is it meant to be used with Word/M365?

I have another question: How or where did you get an ISO for M365?

From my account when pay for first time the subscrpition.Its called O365HomePremretail.Its mathtype softwrae from wiris

At this point it would seem to me the entire combination is corrupt.
When you tried to repair word and it failed, it gave you a good explanation of why it failed. . That's a good indication to me the mathtype addon was not compatible with whatever version of Office you were trying to repair.

Uninstall Mathtype. Here are instructions how to remove Mathtype. Uninstall MathType with Revo Uninstaller

Personally, I would use Revo Uninstalled Free method listed in that Mathtype article to uninstall Mathtype. Revo comes in both installable and portable versions. Make sure after uninstall completes, that you run a scan with Revo. Make sure to checkthe boxes and remove all leftover remnants of Mathtype. Restart computer after uninstall. Download Revo Uninstaller Free - Remove unwanted programs easily


Then I would completely remove MS Ofc 365, If you are using another version of Office, uninstall it as well .

Restart.
Reinstall Office 365. Make sure it works as a virgin install.
Download and Install a Fresh Version

• Sign in to Your Account:

And after unistall office what?Should install again?Also it was a unistallation tool called office scrub.This is ot exist anymore?

If you used Office Scrub you were not using Office365. It was 2019 or earlier.
You can try these following steps to uninstall and re- install Office 2019 if that was your version..

1. Remove Old Office Versions >>
2. The old Office scrub tool has been replaced. It is now handled by "Get Help"
3. Go to this link. https://aka.ms/SaRA-OfficeUninstallFromPC
4. Instead of downloading the office scrub tool as it once did, it will reroute you to "Get Help" When the popup to access Get help opens, allow it.
5. >> Run the get help tool and select “Office” > “I want to uninstall Office” >> Follow the prompts to remove all existing Office installations. Restart.
6. To re-Install Office 2019 >> Go to https://setup.office.com >> Sign in with your Microsoft account. >> Enter your Office 2019 product key. >> Follow the instructions to download and install Office 2019.

Thank you for your responce.I use office scrub for remove the preinstalled office that was by deafult installed to my new computer and suggest me microsoft to that before install my office 365 subscription.I think you are w orng scrub tool was for all versions and subscriptions....But anyway this method for unistalling microsoft 365 is a ........kind of online subscription? And iw ant to unistalland reinstall microsoft 365 not office 2019
