WS.reputation.1

I have 2 pc's both running the same version of Norton Security (360). If I download a certain file from the GitHub on one pc it is absolutely fine, the other it scans fine with Norton but as soon as I try to use it Norton gives the WS.reputation.1 message and quarantines it. I ran the file through Virus Total and every one found no problems. any Thoughts?

Are they both the same version and antivirus definitions?

Sure are Jeff, I had this the other day with a file and a few days later it worked fine on both. It made me wonder if, it is indeed just a reputation based thing so the more people using it boosts it score on the Norton file insight, as I doubt very much if it is a virus or malware as Virus Total would have found it.

Thanks, I read this but it still leaves me with the problem of is it safe or not, I am sure it is
