I just stumbled across this video on you tube:-

The guy recommends Chris Titus's Winutil, Rectify11, and something called Rainmeter.
I am aware of Winutil, but the others are new to me.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions of them?

PS - I currently use StartAllBack, which has fixed most of the issues I've encountered.

To each his own. Since I have no problems with 11 as it is, I'm one who doesn't use any 3rd party app that alters the GUI and if I did, I would certainly not use multiple ones. I prefer to use this forum's tutorial section to make any tweaks I'm interested in myself. If I wanted to remake the entire OS, I'd choose something else or stayed with 10. Early on, I did use Winaero tools for a few personalization changes I didn't find tutorials for, but that was a long time ago.

Got no issues on my 2 computers both running Windows 11 25H2. I have a regular schedule of system maintenance and backups which also helps.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

@Hairy Scot There was no patronising condescension with a hint of passive aggression either. I've written over 13000 posts in this forum and every single one has been my opinion. I don't BS any thread starter and always say what he wants to hear. I tell it like I see it. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I do not.

I dont know if it fixes something but I am using rainmeter to show extra things on desktop.

like:

transparent (or translucent) text notes
date / time with nice fonts
weather
currency exchanges
visualizer for sound activities and music

You can

monitor your system
use any rss feeds,
and many more.

It is skin based, some skins needs also plugins, you can create anything you can imagine with them. you can also edit existing skins easily.

Windows 11 IS broken, until you take the spyware out of it. I get that some people don't care about or even understand the basic concepts of privacy and ownership rights, but that's their problem.

Been using Rainmeter for many years now. It's a desktop customization app that allows you to use different skins to display information on your desktop. Currently

So, strategy #1 for his YT channel is have a click bait headings like for this video playing up the Windows 11 needs fixing rubbish.
