Thanks glasskuter, it doesn't really explain, he gabbles and jumps all over the place and doesnt really explain except to say one is anti virus and one just a display. Also, I haven't downloaded anything from the store but still get updates to both.

I'm not worried about it and I keep an OS backup, made when first clean install of Windows and Office so no worries about any virus, in fact because of the OS backup I would probably click on a virus to see what it did knowing I could sanitize C: and start afresh. As for Kaspersky, Russian...

The annoying thing is how do we know if it's wanted or not, it's not showing what it is.

But all I want to know is what is this 'potentially unwanted app'. Malwarebytes will just do another scan and show nothing as Defender has.

Done a full scan and say nothing - but the Potentially Unwanted App is still showing in App & Browser Control

It also allows you to do an 'ofline' scan

I have the attached in Defender, but it doesn't say what the app is. If you click on it it opens the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device". Well I don't know unless I know what it is. Any ideas how to see what it is please ?

Thanks for that Bree, unfortunately I'm not showing the same as you were, this is all I am getting. As this is a pre release version of 11, I think I will do an ISO install and check again.

In TenForums you have a tutorial showing how to look inside protection history for something that has been quarantined "How to View Protection History of Microsoft Defender Antivirus in Windows 10" This isn't the same in 11 and a scan shows 1 threat which I assume has been quarantined, but...

I'm not understanding this comparison with Win 7 OS Backup and Reflect. Wind 7 saves the complete drive and operating system (10 and 11), and does a recovery with no problems at all so would someone please explain what I am missing here ?

Thank you Admin, there is no need for that sort of language. After 11 is officially released and then if Nord doesn't work, you will have a legitimate complaint.
