What is Online Service Experience Pack?

I can run 24H2 on my VirtualBox VM that doesn't even have a TPM (I used a workaround to install it) but it does run. I *hope* secure boot doesn't become a requirement

the lower case letter probably indicates it's a Beta BIOS

Just to add to my original post, what are THESE? They downloaded from Windows store yesterday (I know what Cross device is, but the other two in the pic?)

I'm not worried, just wondering why it would install! I'm not a dev, never done any coding, I wasn't aware .Net 6 had ever been installed until today

Now this is weird, it's not showing in the performance monitor now!

I wonder if MS sent it by mistake, or if it's part of something else that's coming which needs these components. I've only ever had the cumulative updates for .Net framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 during regular Windows updates - this thing is completely new to me

Wondering why it appeared, I've never used anything that would require it!

I have Digiguide installed with Defender running. I installed it last year when I did a clean Windows setup. It runs at startup with no issues either.

I did my usual morning update check and all this appeared.

Similar issues here, it's annoying

A lot of background stuff that I never knew existed or needed! Still the update is fine, went without a hitch again

I would pay a (reasonable) monthly/yearly fee to not have advertising at all. Seems to be the way of all things now

I always thought an in-place upgrade writes a new base Windows image to the disk, then during the second phase after restarting, copies all the existing files/programs to the new Windows folder? During a failed upgrade I've seen a NewOS folder containing the Windows image.
