Thanks for your reply. Somewhere in the restored image is the correct desktop file. As you say, it's probably not in the OD section since the much-reduced desktop is installed within minutes. My challenge is to stop OD from overwriting files as soon as its reinstalled. I don't want to kill it...

More bad news. I thought I had made my folders and files local only - turns out the complete personal storage was gone. I tried restoring from OD but with limited success. I know I can get everything back via Macrium, but that will include OD.

I have 2 desktop PC's both with Gigabyte MB's and running W11. Strange thing is that they both show battery icons and after starting my server after being away for a while I'm getting LOW battery warnings. Is this coming via W11 or perhaps BIOS ... I see nothing in the later to suggest this feature.

Thanks for the response. They were running W7 and had digital updates through to W10 or W11 Pro I now have the Keys, even if they are not usable without the SSD. I cycled the SSD's through an HP LT I kept as a "mule" and used the wonderful app in this thread to extract the Keys. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I followed your link and out of about 8 locations 3 were spot on and 5 close enough. None were the 50 mile distant location that keeps popping up. On that basis I don't think the ISP would be able to correct anything. Thanks anyway.
