  5. Win Update KB5062553 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 26100.4652 (24H2) - July 8

Component Store corrupted on 6 different computers. Had to perform Cleanup Image on all. Every one gets "stuck" at 62.3% when "repairing", which is "Normal". Just have to wait it out until completed. Thanks Microsoft!
  6. Clean install of W11 (and also W10) won't work !

Something is wrong if Rufus won't start on your Win7-32 bit computer. Windows 11 is 64-bit only. The latest Rufus is available in 32-bit. It's the 3rd one down on the list. Index of /downloads I asked Google "can rufus create a 64-bit flash drive on a 32-bit computer" Answer: Yes, you can use...
  7. Win Update KB5046617 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 26100.2314 (24H2) - Nov. 12

One of mine did the same thing after sitting at 62.x% for an hour. Did the same on previous builds. When it seems like it's stuck, it's actually being repaired (for sfc) or restored (for cleanup image). Why it's always 62.x%, who knows?
  8. Win Update KB5046617 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 26100.2314 (24H2) - Nov. 12

Same here. You may have to wait hours but it will eventually finish.

No big problems with in-place upgrade on 7 computers. After installing Win11_24H2_(26100.1742) as in "in-place upgrade", Windows Update wants to install 2024-09, KB5043080, September Cumulative Update, which is 1742. Let it do it & there is no change. "sfc /scannow" detects errors before the...
  10. How to get the Windows 11 2024 Update (24H2)

After installing Win11_24H2_(26100.1742) as in "in-place upgrade", Windows Update wants to install 2024-09, KB5043080, September Cumulative Update, which is 1742. Let it do it & there is no change. "sfc /scannow" detects errors before the CU & does repair them. No errors detected after the CU...
  11. Win Update KB5041585 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Build 22621.4037 (22H2) and 22631.4037 (23H2)

After this update, ran SFC & it was extremely slow, i.e. 1% per minute, and then hung. Solution was to shutdown & restart & then SFC found corruption & repaired it. A simple restart would not do it. Then ran DISM, & no problems were reported. Same issue on 6 different machines. Once...

  14. New install on spare laptop

I did a clean install of Windows 10 on an HP Pavilion 23-p027c (all-in-one); Corei5-Gen 4. Installed a Samsung 960EVO-500GB SATA in place of the 1TB HDD drive, no issues. Later did an in place upgrade to Windows 11, no issues. It's as speedy as any of my newer Lenovo laptops. I did use the...
  15. Windows 12's Minimum Requirements: 16 GB RAM?

Rufus can bypass all Windows 11 hardware requirements. I suspect he will do the same for Windows 12. My oldest computer is Intel Core i5 Gen 4, no TPM. Windows 11 works just as good as Windows 10 did. Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way
