  1. Xbox Mode Begins Rolling Out to Players on Windows 11 PCs

Thanks Brink! However, like I said, it's actually all working and I can see it actively releasing RAM and stopping various unnecessary windows services when a game is launched. The issue is that I don't see the Xbox Mode details in Windows>settings>gaming>game mode. I can access the overlay and...
  2. Xbox Mode Begins Rolling Out to Players on Windows 11 PCs

Windows 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8457) I do NOT have "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available" checked, but Xbox mode is 100% launching every time I open a game? I do NOT see the extra 'Xbox Mode' toggles in Settings>Gaming - only the normal Win 11 Gaming Mode (enabled). I had not...
  3. Winver replacement

Just came across this and another similar. Sadly both don't allow any way to replace the simple press start and type winver/do the same in a run command window. Using the winver command for decades, it's just 'too hard basket' and both these lovely replacement apps fail by being unable to...
  4. Win Update KB5067112 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Preview build 22631.6133 (23H2) - Oct. 28

Thanks! Are you running a 23H3 machine? If so, did you see any impacts on SSD speeds or is this fringe issue stuff probably caused by other interfering 3rd party software since it doesn't seem like it's been widely reported beyond a couple of people?
  5. Win Update KB5067112 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Preview build 22631.6133 (23H2) - Oct. 28

The latest update doesn't mention any fixes for the SSD speed issues some faced? Any insights?
  6. Did you manually update your Secure Boot Keys ?

Shouldn't this work exactly the same for a mounted ISO? I tried running an elevated command prompt changing the 'D' to the mounted drive letter I have 'L' and got access denied on the first command. I then tried from an elevated terminal opened within the mounted ISO and got pretty much the same...
  7. Did you manually update your Secure Boot Keys ?

I just looked into this, and wanted to create a bootable USB Win 11 installation of the latest Win 11 23H2 Enterprise build I got from UUP Dump. I have successfully updated this PC (target machine I am creating the bootable drive on) with the CA 2023 certificates using the guide @Scott...
  8. Did you manually update your Secure Boot Keys ?

Thanks! I ran these commands from that post. So, basically as long as I do not update my BIOS (effectively resetting CMOS to factory), then I should in theory be good?
  9. Win Update KB5067112 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Preview build 22631.6133 (23H2) - Oct. 28

Safe to update, or best to wait for official? Current build:
  10. Did you manually update your Secure Boot Keys ?

So, if I did this and it said True (after 2 restarts etc), then my certs are updated and the mid 2026 thing is something that I need not worry about anymore? Hopefully that will resolve the recent issues I've seen in EventViewer about certs and even TPM failing.
  11. Updating Microsoft Secure Boot keys before expiration in June 2026

For anyone who has set their group policy editor 'target feature update version' to stay on Win 11 23H2, and is perhaps 'worried' about getting these secure boot certificates updated automatically, I figured I'd share a little info to remove any unnecessary worry/mucking about with manually...
  12. Win Update KB5065431 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 22631.5909 (23H2) - Sep. 9

Oh wow! So, there's no simple fix as of now for the millions of users including enterprise and academic users who will be staying on 23H2 until Nov 2026? That's hilarious! I think I recall an identical issue a few years back that Microsoft literally resolved in what seemed like the final hours...
  13. Win Update KB5065431 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 22631.5909 (23H2) - Sep. 9

Very kind of you to offer this post! I also checked the other posts where some people are manually updating their security keys, which is crazy town for me - Microsoft will resolve this in time via a Windows update KB. Can I assume the preview build you posted updates these keys for the user...
  14. Win Update KB5065431 Windows 11 Cumulative Update build 22631.5909 (23H2) - Sep. 9

This update was a dumpster fire for me, thankfully I created a Macrium image a day before! I ended up updating my Win 11 Pro license to Win 11 Enterprise so that I can enjoy uninterrupted support for 23H2 through Nov-2026. I use a WMR HMD that 24H2 will turn into a paperweight - yes I am aware...
