Thanks, I have tried all the other port but none have managed to bring the scanner back on. What I may do is to reconnect the printer with my old PC and go to the printer properties and see how it is setup
It did not work unfortunately, but i just can use my phone to pdf document. I will keep my eyes open if i see a bargain for a new printer eventually, or maybe Microsoft will release an update later on. Thanks for all the help
Yes, same thing, It cannot find a device. Very strange, under Windows 10 or even before I never had a problem, just connected the printer and Windows was doing its thing
UPDATE: The printer is now working. I uninstalled (for the sixth time). Reinstalled it, somehow a copy of the printer appeared (if that makes sense) in the list of printers and scanners which I deleted. I changed the Port for the printer to USB001, funny enough in the Printers and Scanners...
I go to printer and scanner, add printer, i have to look at it manually as Windows does not detect it. By the way I am using printer cable USB (brand new). I have noticed an USB connection on the printer, i wonder if an USB to USB cable would make a difference
