Thanks @BunnyJ and @Fabler2 I think I've done it now. One thing about Edge, since that's the browser I'm using, when I tried to remove that site from the cookies and permissions, it doesn't seem to have an option to just 'remove'. I had to individually block each aspect of the permissions.

I am getting spam notifications from a site called indexforcaptchas.top saying to turn on my McAfee security. I do not subscribe to McAfee and I don't want to. How can I remove this notification?

Yes, I have. I didn't realize that I had to format the drive again, since I'd already done that before removing partitions. All working nicely now.

I have a 3rd SSD installed on my system which shows up in Computer Management, but does not show up in this PC. I can't find a way to give the disk a name or to allocate it. I've tried disabling and enabling it, and uninstalling and installed it, and the drivers are up to date. Any ideas?

This worked, thanks so much @Fabler2 I will note for anyone else looking to do this, that the files hide and all you will find at first are 'shortcuts' that take you to the HP site. I eventually found the actual application under (Program Files > Common Files > Hewlett-Packard > Scanjet > G4010...

Thanks, RogerOver. This is where I got the driver from already that enabled the computer to recognize the scanner and give it the basic functionality that it has. I'm hoping to get all of the other functions back though. Appreciate the suggestion.
