Running MR v10.0.8843 and have the boot menu installed. When I tried to boot from it today, it gave me an error screen about the file winload.efi claiming that the digital signature of that file can't be verified, error 0xc0000428.
I removed the boot entry using MR and rebiult it -- but it...
OK, let me try that.
UPDATE: I did the BIOS stuff and was able to enable Secure Boot.
This is what I get now:
PS X:\Downloads> .\Check-UEFI.bat -Verbose
PowerShell 7.6.0

Sorry for what might be a dumb question -- but I have a three-year-old ASrock AMD B550 motherboard and I updated the BIOS a few months ago using their latest BIOS which claimed it was specifically for this issue. But when I check the registry keys, while I get High Confidence for the Confidence...
My experience matched that of @Quexos -- slightly faster, slightly smaller. Not the huge increases in speed and much smaller images that others were seeing.
Not nearly enough (to me) to justify the enormous increase in price over 8.1. V8.1 cost me $100 for a 4-pack that lasted me three years...
Thanks to everyone for the help.
Pressing F12 on boot DOES work -- surprised me.
Also, the Add UEFI Menu works.
So now, I have two ways to get into the UEFI menu.
Running Win11 24H2 Bld 26100.6584 on Dell laptop - but unable to boot into Boot menu. Laptop has multifunction keys, so have to press the Fn key + function key.
I restart, holding down the Fn key, pressing F12 repeatedly but nothing happens.
I'm trying to remove a MountUUP directory from a...
I had a round of MR backups fail verification a couple of years ago. At the time, I was backing up a dozen systems once a month and half of those uses and external HDD which I then used to copy the backups to my file server. I had not seen any errors during the backup and verification process...
That seems odd. I did a trial version of X back when they first offered it, and it was not much improvement over 8.1. But recently, I did another trial, this time of version 10.0.8495, and it was much faster -- cut the backup time by 1/3 over 8.1.
I think build 8325 is the current MR 8.1 version -- and that came out in October, 2024.
I do the same -- use MR as primary and Hasleo as backup -- but I've never run across the time limiting stuff mentioned in this thread, although I do update Hasleo every time they come out with a new version...
My pushback back against the MR X version is more than it being a subscription model -- it is focused on the price. I have a 4-pack MR 8 set of that I used for three years and for which I paid $100 USD. That works out to a little over $8 per system per year. The subscription price, last time...
