    As far as I can tell, 7-zip will show you the 'contents' of a protected zip (ie file and folder names), but when you try to open or drag and drop one, it will ask for the pw. To hide the file names, put one zip inside another.

    Make sure that the Drive backup operates as a backup, and not just as a sync tool: if it just syncs, then files deleted from the main store (perhaps in error) will be cleared from the synced drive in the cloud. That may not be what you want.

    I don't think that converting to a local account will rename the user folder. Probably better to create a new local user called 'john'.
