  1. ICC profile being ignored???

Side question: When I open the Settings and click on start menu or anything that takes the Settings windows out of focus, it completely changes colour temperature from reddish to something noticeably cooler. Is this normal? Does that happen for others too? The temperature looks exactly as if the...
  2. ICC profile being ignored???

But the thing is, when I open the old Control panel and go to advanced tab of colour profiles, there is a button called "reload current calibrations". When the ICC profile is unloaded - BTW this also happens when you put the OS to sleep - clicking on the button changes colours on ALL opened...
  3. ICC profile being ignored???

What do you mean by colour managed? I thought the ICC profiles apply to absolutely everything since it's system setting, so it should adjust colours of everything on the monitor. What do you mean by what software am I using? For calibration? Calibrite.
  4. ICC profile being ignored???

I know for a fact this worked reliably in Windows 10, and when I switched to Windows 11 I did the same thing (calibration), not expecting it to behave any differently, and forgot about it. It wasn't until these days when I purely accidentally noticed screen changing colours when I open the...
  5. System Enable or Disable Auto Color Management for Apps in Windows 11

Ignoring the toxic-looking tone, let me reword my post. Maybe it's just a misunderstanding. I don't understand what does this feature do, because all I've known up to this point was this And as far as I know, this is how colour profiles work in Windows and that's all you need to have...
  6. ICC profile being ignored???

I have only noticed this in the past few days, and it took me a while to figure out what the hell was going on. Basically anytime I'd got to Settings-display, the monitor would change colours. It turned out the freaking ICC profile I created using a calibration device was not being applied at...
  7. System Enable or Disable Auto Color Management for Apps in Windows 11

Can anyone tell me what does this setting even do? I have a Calibrite (ex X-Rite) calibration device and custom ICC profile. I thought that was enough.
  8. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

I am still exploring. I have just landed on the comparison page and you are likely right. The GUI is a little lacking, but it's not terrible, and scheduling backups works almost exactly how I like.
  9. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Thank you for the very insightful post noone asked for. 🤦‍♀️
  10. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Oh, five pack licence for $90? That's not bad. Is that a perpetual licence??!
  11. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Whoa ok NOPE, I have just tried it and the interface is nothing short of HORRIBLE. There is no easy way to edit backup tasks, the scheduling is bugged, and there is no option to backup at system startup. Back to the drawing board I guess 🤦‍♀️
  12. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

So is anyone using O&O DiskImage?
  13. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

It's just the screen saver one :(
  14. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

It has just disabled itself again, and bizarrely the registry settings are the same, exactly the same. There is something else going on in the background that bypasses everything, but I can't figure out how does it work.
  15. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

Basically the power recommendations page keeps disabling my screen saver. I would notice it not starting, go to settings, the "disable screen saver" has green checkmark, then I got to screen saver settings, those are not changed at all, I still see the same screen saver and timeout there, but...
