  1. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

It's just the screen saver one :(
  2. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

It has just disabled itself again, and bizarrely the registry settings are the same, exactly the same. There is something else going on in the background that bypasses everything, but I can't figure out how does it work.
  3. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

Basically the power recommendations page keeps disabling my screen saver. I would notice it not starting, go to settings, the "disable screen saver" has green checkmark, then I got to screen saver settings, those are not changed at all, I still see the same screen saver and timeout there, but...
  4. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

I wasn't talking about hiding anything. I was talking about completely disabling the functionality, because the OS doing something without my consent and repeatedly reverting a setting I set is completely wrong.
  5. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

I know OLED monitors have some anti burn in features, but LCD ones, I am not sure.
  6. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

What? :o People don't use a screen saver? What about burn in?
  7. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

I guess. I wonder if I am the only person for who screen saver settings are repeatedly changed without connsent by this recommendations BS? No matter what I set it gets disabled within a few hours.
  8. System Review and Apply Energy Recommendations in Windows 11

I wonder whether you can DISABLE the energy recommendations though. The entire functionality is horrible.
  9. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

I tried that and it didn't do anything, Macrium 7 still wouldn't work unless I flat out disabled that memory protection feature :(
  10. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

That appears to be neither opensource nor free (the free version has hardly any features and can't even copy a partition it seems).
  11. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

Uh, what is that? Live CD image I have to boot? I just need a Windows program that runs at startup and creates disk/file+folder backup image on a local server. This doesn't seem to be that. Or am I missing anything?
  12. If Macrium Reflect X is too expensive, what will you switch to?

So Microsoft managed to kill older Macrium Reflect versions driver, basically killing perfectly working software I bought, so I really do need to find a replacement now. I am almost sure I will go with O&O DiskImage, but before I go ahead with that, just in case, is anyone aware of anything...
  13. My screen saver is turning off all the time

    Nevermind I guess.
  14. System Change Power Plan in Windows 11

Oh. Thanks. What a mess this OS is...
  15. System Change Power Plan in Windows 11

This doesn't affect power mode set in the new settings. Why does the stupid system have TWO different settings for power plan anyway? And what actually takes precedence, and how do I change what's in the "newer" place via command line?
