Well, in my world, GIGABYTE has my loyalty. I despise MSI because every time I buy one to try again, they fail. I have used ASROCK but went back to Gigabyte. I'm to fond of ASUS due to there technical support. But again, that could of been just me. So I tick with Gigabyte.

I would try removing the battery from the laptop. That is the only way to remove power completely. Leave the battery out for at least 5 minutes. Then reinstall and try again. Here is a link on how to remove your battery: Hope this helps.

@garlin is correct. I've used remote desktop and have never seen that before. I would make an image first and then delete it and if anything changes...that being on the safe side.
