Incidentally, the only reason I changed my lock screen picture was because Windows spotlight does not work. I tried that setting numerous times but Windows always changed it back to picture.

Hi, I'm running 24H2 and have changed the lock screen image to one of my photos having the same dimensions. If I type the Windows key and L, the photo is shown correctly, however, when I start the PC, the lock screen is always the default blue folding image. I know it's not really important...

Good news! My workaround seems to have worked but I think yours is just as efficient, if not even more.

Good idea. Just from curiosity, have you run scannow since doing that? I don't need to change the ownership of the folder back because Windows already did that when I ran the RestoreHealth command.

My original post detailed everything I had done in full, at that particular time. There was nothing else I could have added. What I detailed in my last post were the actions I took after my original post.

None of the options in that tutorial work in 24H2 but I think I have discovered why. I wanted to use the sounds I was familiar with from Windows 10 but selecting them from the Windows.old folder made no difference. Even after taking ownership of the Media folder and copy/pasting the sounds...

There was nothing wrong with the blue screen in Windows 10. Why, oh why did MS decide to change it to black? It's no biggie but it would be nice to have the option to change it back to blue but I can't find any solution for that. Possible?
