Solved Killer Networking misbehaving

Following a discussion in another category, I was recommended to create a new post about this specific issue.

Basically, my reliability monitor keeps throwing up errors with this Killer application, so I chose to disable it. However, since doing that, now the reliability monitor appears to be throwing a tantrum.

Do I really need this app? The only one available to uninstall is the Killer Intelligence Center.

I uninstalled it and then had no internet, so I couldn't even search out an Intel driver to replace it with.
Now, I have Reflect restoring the image I made prior to uninstalling, so things should be as before within a few hours.

If you uninstalled it, you should have had the normal driver for your hardware on restart.

Did you restart after uninstalling it?

It may be you uninstalled the wrong thing. You may have up to 3 items called Killer ..... that you could uninstall. No screenshot.

Yes, I did but there was still no WiFi and Troubleshooter was unable to fix it.
When the restore has been completed I will go to this page and run the test to see what updates are available. Surely there are Intel network drivers that don't require the Killer suite?

It has now recovered. Following Intel's uninstall instructions, they say to search for the Killer Performance Suite under Apps & Features, but all that's there is the Killer Intelligence Center. Previously, I uninstalled all Killer drivers via Device Manager. The app that's causing trouble is the Killer Provider Data Helper Service.

No you don't need the app, it's basically bloatware. Any time I download the Killer Wifi and Ethernet drivers with Intel Driver and Support Assistant I make sure to X out the software portion so it can't reinstall. I'm guessing after you disabled it is still trying to load the software on bootup. To stop that you need to go into Task Scheduler and either disable or remove it from Task Schedular. Just search Task Scheduler from your Start menu and edit the Killer app stuff in it.

Killer Provider Data Helper Service disabled in Services. After reboot, there are no more errors and everything seems to be running well in terms of internet connection. Thanks for all your help guys!
