  1. Classic Shell Returns For Windows 11 (with and/or without) ExplorerPatcher installed

Not the forum, only this ExplorerPatcher thread. I saw that too when I posted above you and necromanced the thread (that was declared dead by elevenforum — apparently that's them rules here if there is no response to a thread within one month). Anyways I ignored Google SafeBrowse's warning cuz...
  2. Classic Shell Returns For Windows 11 (with and/or without) ExplorerPatcher installed

I hope the developer doesn't give up. It is valuable (at the very minimum until Microsoft decides to finally reduce (make smaller/thinner) the size of the Win 11 taskbar. It's scandalous that the default version takes so much screen real estate, even while the tray icons are still tiny. Most...
  3. Win Update KB5037853 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Preview Build 22621.3672 (22H2) and 22631.3672 (23H2)

Nope. Still not possible to drag-and-drop files directly to (sub)folders on the file explorer address bar, even tho just updated to a 05/2024 cumulative KB5037853 version at the end of last month/begin of this month. This function, which had been available on File Explorer before Win-11 came...
  4. Windows 11 not creating Desktop.ini files, not updating folder preview.

That is no longer an option. What happened recently? I all of a sudden see those ini files even tho I have the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option turned on (box checked, therefore the files invisible). But I do have the other option in options that allows less crucial...
  5. Classic Shell Returns For Windows 11 (with and/or without) ExplorerPatcher installed

Maybe I should indeed. We'll see at the end of this month.
  6. Classic Shell Returns For Windows 11 (with and/or without) ExplorerPatcher installed

I use EP already. Problem is you have to babysit it a lot. I have to remove EP just to update Windows (the major monthly Windows update) — then subsequently reinstall EP fresh all over again every month just to operate my PC. With all due respect that's too much work. I don't like manually...
  7. Classic Shell Returns For Windows 11 (with and/or without) ExplorerPatcher installed

Of all the choices, which one reduces most reliably the taskbar's height (the default Win 11 taskbar is unacceptably too high/thick). That's my #1 desire for looking for alternatives
  8. New Version of ExplorerPatcher

Win 7 command bar works on 22621.1555 ? Maybe I should try that older EP in case it also has a working win-10 Start button
  9. New Version of ExplorerPatcher

Must be accidental but did Microsoft find a way to incapacitate ExplorerPatcher with every monthly update now (in 2023)? EP/valinet also alluded to this last month in his message here All: Implemented a mechanism to stop repeated crashes · valinet/ExplorerPatcher@d7e5b7d I guess a bit more...
  10. New Version of ExplorerPatcher

    That is the latest version.
  11. New Version of ExplorerPatcher

Once again for the second time in two or so months Windows update happend yesterday/today (KB5023706 and KB5023778) and since then ExplorerPatcher (latest version (54.5) breaks. This time the Start button doesn't open Start Menu at all but instead triggers File Explorer to restart — so the...
  12. Explorer Patcher and Task View button

Yes the latest update fixed this bug.
  13. Explorer Patcher and Task View button

6, When you are changing brightness, the indicator no longer displays the progress bar on your screen (again with Explorer Patcher taskbar on Win 10 mode, if it is on Win 11 mode then it will pop up as usual). Coincidentally this bug is actually fine by be. I'm glad it disappeared, as I hate...
