I have two of these machines. I have used the same USB on the older one many times. I had tried that USB on this new one and after displaying the USB under f9 It would not start. That was when I talked to HP support and was told it takes a special one.

Good morning CornishRattler. I am running another MCT right now just to be sure. However on why they insist on this I don't know. I will get the free USB on 6/14 and if that does work I can't argue with them. I am also thinking of downloading the ISO and then creating a USB from it. Shipinomore
