Update on this. I returned the memory I'd bought and then bought 2 x 8GB DDR4 from eBay. The RAM matches exactly with the existing RAM in the PC. Same make, model. spec, version and timings. The existing RAM is in slots A2 and B2, I added the new RAM to A1 and B1. PC booted up and windows...

The new memory arrived. 2x8GB DDR4 3200 MHz With this fitted alongside my existing ram the PC fails to boot. The case fans spin up, but the fans on the video card don't and the pc doesn't even POST. Remove the new chips and all works again. Any ideas? Thanks

I've been in touch with the company I purchased the original components from and they have confirmed the memory I need and that it can be fitted without any changes needed in the BIOS. So I've ordered 2 additional 8GB DDR4 ram and will see what happens when that arrives ! Thanks

I tested this last night and still got blue screen. Single module, dual modules all at 2133Mhz. It was bought via Amazon so I'm arranging a return. If I was to add 2 more 8GB the same as I already have, should they just plug in and work ? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the suggestions. I use the PC for work so I'm a little apprehensive messing with it to much, but I plan on trying this tonight and see how I get on.

I've checked in my BIOS and the existing 8GB memory shows as Corsair 8192MB 2133Mhz, yet windows and other areas of the BIOS report it as 3200Mhz. Why ? This is what CPU-Z shows for the original memory.

I'm still having issues with this. I've tried changing BIOS settings and only one chip but I've not got any further. I've found a company in the UK that sells the same ram as I've already got installed. Would it be worth just buying two more of these and should they just plug in and work ...

I'm not going to be able to run CPU-Z, as the PC crashes before get a chance to download it when the 32GB is installed. I've tried the crucial scanner with the 16GB in, it downloads and when I run the exe it opens a web page but nothing happens. Does anyone know what the correct memory I need...

Thanks for the reply. The ram doesn't appear on that list. This is the existing 8 x 8GB This is the new 2 x 16GB Would I be better returning it and buying something else ? Thanks
