Nothing worked for W11 recognizing that old scanner. I only need to scan things once every few months, if that, so I will keep doing what I have been doing till now: use an older laptop running an earlier version of Windows. If i needed to scan things more often I would buy a new scanner but...

I do and it installs fine. But it says no scanner attached. Tomorrow, as someone suggested, I will install Scanwizard 9 which is the version that works in W 11 and see if that finds the scanner. The scanner is old but works very well.

I discovered on my data hdd 2 huge files dating back to 2019. They are DVD Video Recording.bin and DVD Video Recording.mds How do I find out what these are and if I can safely delete them? Thank you

I used my phone to take a picture of my lockscreen. As one can see, the 3 icons on the bottom right do not include anything about the remaining battery charge. Can the battery icon (percentage preferred) be included? How? Thank you.

Unfortunately, battery level is not shown on my pre-login screen. That's why I was asking. If I could take a screenshot of my prelogin screen I would be able to show it here.

Is it possible to have the login screen show the remaining battery level on a laptop? It currently appears after I login. But it would be nice to have it show on the login screen which appears when I lift the lid before I login.
