Going to the computer this morning (it had been put to Sleep overnight,) the PC was on and the the fan was notably whirring. And there was the error message related to unknown software 0xe06d7363 that occurred in the application at location 0x00007ff9E7DD474C. I shut the PC down and re-booted it. No error message. First thing I did was to monitor the core temps on my HP-TE01-1020, which read in the 45C range; whereas "resting" range for this PC is around 32-34C (which the PC is now running at). Anyway, looking to see what was happening and for a fix, I came across this site: Top 4 Solutions to Exception Code 0xe06d7363, with several suggestions on how to fix the error. However, before I "randomly" start trying these fixes, I am hoping that

1. I can get some guidance as to the order in which you think I should proceed.

2. Also, how do I locate the application at location 0x00007ff9E7DD474C?

Thanks.

As that article said, this error is usually software related... either corrupted software or incompatible software. If you do not get any errors at boot, put your system to sleep manually. Wake it up to see if any errors occur. Do this several times. If you still do not get another error I would not worry about the one error you did get as Windows does encounter transient errors from time to time. You might look at reliability monitor to see if it provides any information about the error that did occur. In search type reliability, click view reliability history. In reliability monitor you can click on any red X to get more info about the error that happened.

These steps would be performed if the error consistantly occurs either at boot or waking from sleep. You would have to test after each step to see if the error still happens. If after any step the error ceases, it would be an indication you fixed or at least narrowed down your problem.

1. run SFC /Scannow from an administrative command prompt. This verifies the integrity of your system files. When SFC completes make note if it found and fixed any corrupted files. Only if it finds corruption that it is unable to fix followup with the command dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
(Note the spaces in the command) Restart computer

2. Install and run Malwarebytes Free Free antivirus | Download Malwarebytes free Quarantine anything it finds.

3. Perform a clean boot to locate software conflicts. If it does not happen in clean boot, this tutorial tells you how to use the process of elimination to narrow it down to the troublesome piece of software. Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 11 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Tutorial

4.. If it happens in clean boot, try safe boot.

5. If it happens in both clean boot and safe boot, check your disk. From command prompt as administrator chkdsk /r

6.. If none of the above steps lead you to the culprit you have to get down to the nitty gritty and check event viewer. In search type event. Click event viewer. The event viewer can be very overwhelming as there are thousands of entries, so don't panic by its sheer volume. . You are only interested in critical or error events occuring at the time the error occurred. This article will tell you how to filter the logs to make the event viewer manageable. How to check Windows 11 error logs

Hopefully one of these suggestions will help.

Hey Glasskuter, I certainly appreciate your tutorial on how to approach this issue. Since the issue event hasn't occurred again, I will be taking your advice and assume that maybe we have a self-corrected issue. Thus, I'll leave well-enough alone for a while and see what happens...hopefully, nothing. Of course, if the computer gremlins don't comply, I'll go to your tutorial.
