1st BSOD -- 6 month old machine!


BSODs happen now and then on any device.

If you have only had 1 in 6 months, that is probably much lower than the average.

You could end up on a snipe hunt for no real gain.

They (zbook) want you to upload the MEMORY.DMP since you can't really debug a Stop 0x133 bugcheck without one. Please note that FRST won't actually "fix" anything, it will merely zip up the requested file for you if it exists.

FRST Fix
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

In addition to the above, you should have a .zip folder on your Desktop with the format of Date_Time.zip. It should be similar to the date and time you ran the FRST script. The file will too large to attach to a forum post so you'll need to upload it to a cloud storage provider like OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. You can use WeTransfer as well.

Before I go through this exercise, can someone tell me if what I did the other day corrected the malady of the BSOD. Everything is working fine and I'm hoping that's the case. I'm really not comfortable with a lot of these fixes. I think in fact I will hold off - if I have another BSOD, I will tackle the job. Thanks.

You didn't perform anything that could have remotely fixed the problem.
In fact, you were supposed to upload some files for review so that the 'malady' could be diagnosed.
But as you stated, you want to hold off, so good luck.

Dear Moody Member. Thanks for your input - if you had looked at past posts for this "malady" you would see I had no luck in performing a few of the tasks - as in getting to the Admin Power Shell and having it work. Simple task for most - but it eluded me. I performed it many times on 10 but not so on 11. So I will hold off and hope all is ok.

If there are no recurrent BSOD after post 6 then that will complete the troubleshooting.
