Hi folks
Is this a record -- on an ordinary laptop (HP envy with Intel gen 6 i5 CPU and 8GB RAM) 20 Mins - complete W11 install from ZERO !!
1) Boot Linux to use UUPDUMP to create the W11 Iso (build 22494) and save to ext device
2) boot winpe to create 60 GB Vhdx
3)attach vdisk, partition it (just 1 ntfs partition - not GPT needed when using Vdisks)
4) apply image
5) update bcdboot
6) boot W11
All working -- !! within 20 mins !!
Nr 1 is the key really -- using uupdump with linux is mega fasts as it uses a zillion more threads !! if you have a Linux VM try it !!!
Never going back to "Classical installs again " -- Physical VHDX for me is the way.
Cheers

. Next would be installing software, going through settings, making sure useful fonts are not missing, importing Firefox profiles, etc. Typically takes a while longer than the OS install by itself.
