I don't know what created this, but it's showing in Disk Management for an old external USB hard drive (disk, not SSD), a "WD Elements" drive originally used for its nonsense "backup" software (those pre-installed files have since been deleted, and the drive used for whatever), but now I'm re-formatting it to be a general files backup drive. I'm not seeing why this "allocation" is there or what it's supposed to do or what I should do with it (if anything).

As you can see, I get no options to do anything with the partition. Clicking "Help" just does a Bing Edge search for "windows 10 disk management"
(I'm on Windows 11, so the link is outdated obviously). I think the drive was last formatted on Windows 10, but I don't know if that's where the link is coming from.
Anyway, the post is not about the link. I just don't remember running into this before, and you know etc etc etc WTF
