I just installed a new motherboard… a Gigabyte Aorus Master Z890 with an Intel 285K CPU. I just returned an Asus Z890 motherboard I recently bought because of audio issues with the ALC 4080.
Two of my recent computers (same GPU) would display in 4K in safe mode… this Gigabyte motherboard doesn’t with the same GPU installed.
I’m not sure why this is, but it seems odd to me why the Gigabyte motherboard displays in 1080p instead of 4K.
Advice is welcome and any potential solutions.
