Wondering is anyone has seen Microsoft Update offer the update to 24H2? I realize plenty have updated via alternate means. I myself have upgraded several systems via a forced update or a clean install but yet to see Microsoft Update offer 24H2 on a current 23H2 system.

No, it was not offered to my PC via the Windows Update channel. And that's good so, because I have read about too many problems with 24H2.

I did a forced update to 24H2 on my VirtualBox test system and as far as I looked into that version, there's no reason at all to hurry: I did not see any advantages of the 24H2. Especially all the Copilot stuff I will never use.

So I'll wait until the upgrade is brought to the WU-channel for my system and even then I'll be very careful deciding if I want to upgrade already or wait some time. I have 1 year time until 23H2 will be phased out.

Yes, it was offered today (11 Nov. 2024) on one laptop (Acer Swift X), installed in 5 minutes and I am now on build 24H2 build 26100.2033. Identical system/year Asus Vivo book OLED did not receive the 24H2 upgrade. The good news is that my Acer Swift X touchpad is working again (would not highlight, drag&drop anymore, probably a corrupted MS Precision key in the registry). The bad news is that SFC found 2 corrupted files in the Windows Store cache: Microsoft.Web.WebView2.Core.winmd and Microsoft.Web.WebView2.Core.dll both were repaired but SFC repeats the message when I rerun SFC /scannow instead of "...did not find any integrity violations". Possibly a bug in 24H2, I sent a Feedback to MS.
Update: Today I received preview: 2024—KB5046617 (OS Build 26100.2314) that installed fast and when I ran DISM Online (completed successfully) and SFC /scannow it ended with "...did not find any integrity violations" so the above error with SFC was a bug in the 24H2 upgrade and was corrected with this patch. :-)

I had it via WU -- after the update Networking was in a total mess due to some obscure change in the firewall rules. After a load of messing about I got it to work but kept getting messages "Firewall settings might not be the most secure" and getting a prompt to reset to "Microsoft defaults".

Note I don't want SMB1 any more so all those suggestions involving SMB1 -- no thanks please.

Cheers

I haven't! Have auto updates turned off, I'm not anxious to get it due to some of the challenges it brings with it.
