How can I fix the problem that I have?
Gigabyte B365M DS3H motherboard.
500 MB internet speed
ISP speedtest is now under 200 MBS.
Driver is Realtek 10.2.703.2015
Bios was updated today.
No better lan driver on gigabyte web site.

ISP has no ideas.

thanks

Have you proven it's the OS and not your network or ISP? Run a speed test with another device. If it's just the one Windows 11 device try

Reset network components using @FreeBooter batch file. Run as administrator.

So we can better know exactly what hardware we are dealing with please fill out your computer specs in your forum user profile. Also please clarify a few points that are vague to me.

No better lan driver
1.. This statement leads me to believe you are connecting with ethernet. Is your device also equipped with a wireless adapter?

I went to Windows 10 to get the speed that I am paying for.
I re-install Windows 11 (2H22). I am still running after 1/3 speeed of the speed on the mac next to this desktop.
2. Are you saying you originally had 10, upgraded to 11, and then downgraded to Windows 10 again and everything was OK in 10? When you say "reinstall Windows 11" do you mean you upgraded to 11 a second time or did you clean install Windows 11? You have only mentioned 22H2. In all this did you EVER have 21H2?

3. Does the Mac connect to the internet wired as well or is it using wireless?

Install 10.62 driver, the one you are currently using is from 2015, that alone is bad.

Things that I have:
Windows orginally was on 21H2 and upgraded to 2H22 on the day is was released. I was getting 450-475 on 500 mbs connection. I install 21h2 and then upgraded to 1 gbs. Using 1 gbs, internet speed to desktop never got over 300 average was 170 mbs. I changed connections between mac and pc. Mac was always over 700. ISP came an tested the line. He got almost 1 gb. I also got new network card and speed average over 450-475.
I then clean installed Window 10. Speed on internal card still never go over 500. I upgraded WIN 10 Win 11 (22h2). I am chosing security over speed. Motherboard is Gigabyte B365M DS3H. with the stock windows drivers. I even downloaded the Realtex drivers dated 06/16/2022. Speed never increased.
I upgraded the Bios.
I have reported my troubles to Microsoft.
My Choices are:
1. Life with the lower speeds.
2. Connect Gigabyte to see if they have solutions.
3. My local dealer is out of business and the other stores doesn't have and B365 in stock.
4. Tomorrow I will install the new Realtek drivers and see if that helps. I don't that will help. Also I will contact Gigabyte for help.

thanks for the questions.

On all of the versions you have attempted to run (Windows 10, 11-21H2 and 11-22H2) Your speed does NOT get over 500. Therefore IMO it is not an OS issue but a hardware issue, network issue, or a setting in Gigabyte APP Center or bios. There can also be another component on your mobo feeding interference back into the ethernet causing a speed drop or even a weak capacitor on the mobo. You said you swapped the lan cable and router port with your Mac with no change so that makes me think there is no problem in your network.

browser type, server time of day, location of bandwidth test server distance from server to you, your internet speed plan etc. can definitely affect the bandwidth speed. Use the microsoft app for testing your bandwidth speed @ Get $Speedtest by Ookla from the Microsoft Store

I would call the help desk for your internet service probiveder (isp) the company you pay for your internet connection. test your service with them. a lot of variables here and will just lead you around in circles. imo

Thanks for the idea to use Speedtest by Ookla. It shows a faster speed than. The ISP set a technician out and he spent looking for the problem. I ran speedtest, it showed 784. A minute later it was 450, Then on mac it was 741, on Pc, it was 772. I can live with those speeds. Now I wonder using there site, I couldn't get above 500.

Thanks for the site. I am not going to worry about this any more.

Thanks for the help.
