This has a CPU I5 with a 1060GTX Graphics. It does not have the TPM 2 I am wondering what the real world effect is when you try to run win 11 on this machine. Do we get the shutdown problems ? I am told the GEN 7 CPU does not work out well with windows 11 but having a hard time believing it.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
the memory cam be updated. As far as I know TPM is for people who need to use the hardware encryption, that the onedrive needs it to tie up your data to their cloud. I hear rumor of this HP lacking in (Mode-Based Execution Control) MBEC in its 7th Gen CPU and it lacks VBS (Virtualization-Based Security)
The chipset is Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family SMBus - A123 I have witnessed win 11 run on some pretty lame machines without much trouble so wondering how this might work out. I attached some specs exported from the msinfo32.exe file for this HP tower. Really is a shame to just throw this PC out when really its just needs a SSD and some ram. I see this CA 2023 is supposed to be a thing but really if a PC is not in a public location and its only at a private home I'm not convinced. yet we should update.
