If your pc cannot handle W11, why not stay with W10, it is hardly an old operating system.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chrome OS Flex doesn't find a home on millions of older computers around the world before and after Oct. 14, 2025 (EOS for Windows 10). Linux distros too. Unless MS decides differently by then.

Err yeah chrome on linux has been a thing since chrome was a thing. Most browsers have linux ports.

You can natively dual boot Windows and CrOS, the easiest way to do it is from a live Linux usb. Did it on my daughters old PC as they were switching to all things Google at her work

Yeah, the chrome browser can be installed there. I installed the Chromium Web Browser from the Mint store, and use it as backup when I'm on Linux Mint. The one thing I don't think you can do with this Chrome OS Flex is install it side-by-side with another os.

Awhile ago I was checking out Chrome OS Flex from a bootable usb flash drive. Reminds me of one of those light linux distros

Do you mean actually install CrOS side-by-side with Windows? Or run CrOS from a usb stick on a Windows computer....... I'm doing that right now.

Tried it on my Dell XPS One 27 and it won't even boot from USB ... just ignores it then boots to Windows 11.... even when I select it from the boot options menu! Weird!

Awhile ago I was checking out Chrome OS Flex from a bootable usb flash drive. Reminds me of one of those light linux distros
