For the last few days I have been plagued by numerous problems accessing web sites of all type ,I am using Edge and this reports that the site has timed out.

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried using other browsers? Additionally, try clearing all history in the Edge settings.

Here's what I do to fix the problem that happened earlier today.
1. From Admin command run: ipconfig /release , ipconfig /renew , ipconfig /flushdns then reboot your PC.
2. Reboot your router or turn off power for few minutes then turn back on.

  • Nothing to see here.
Is your computer connected with an ethernet cable to the router? Do you have WiFi? If you do, does your phone have good internet using WiFi? To be sure, turn off the SIM card.
