I have a 300/300Mbps FTTP connection but for some reason my laptop is only getting about 60Mbps download speeds but uploads are fine (it was ok until recently and I haven't changed anything).
I've got an Asus RT-AXE7800 6e router, the laptop is the only device connected to 6e (although I've also tried it on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels as well and it was just as slow), other devices connected to the other 2 channels (e.g. Android phone and tablet) are getting about 325Mbps down and up from the same location the laptop is sited so I think the issue is with the laptop.
Windows 11 Pro is 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4061)
Intel Killer(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (211NGW)
Driver version: 23.90.0.2
Protocol: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
Network Band/Channel: 6 GHz (5)
Aggregated link speed (Receive/Transmit): 817/865 (Mbps)
I've ran Malwarebytes, Spybot and scanned with Total AV with nothing found, I've refreshed the laptop with Windows update that retained all settings, apps etc
I've also used Wi-Fi scanner apps to check for channel congestion and there is none, in fact I'm the only one on 6GHz here, and checked for driver updates.
The laptop is an Acer Predator PT14-51 with an Intel i7-13700H CPU, 32Gb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 4070 8Gb graphics, 1Tb H/D, 14" Full HD screen and connected to a Samsung 4K monitor via HDMI.
Any ideas?
Cheers
