Personalization Add or Remove D Drive in Navigation Pane of File Explorer in Windows 11

Drive_banner.png

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the D: Drive in the navigation pane of File Explorer for your account in Windows 11.

All drives are shown under the This PC group in the navigation pane of File Explorer by default.

Removable drives are shown as separate groups in the navigation pane of File Explorer by default in addition to being shown under the This PC group in the navigation pane.

You could Pin to Quick access any drive to have it under the Home group in the navigation pane.

If you like, you can add the D: Drive as its own separate group to the top or bottom of the navigation pane of File Explorer for even easier and faster access.

EXAMPLE: "D: Drive" at top or bottom of navigation pane in File Explorer

You, sir, are a saint!

Thank you so much! Looks perfect in there now. (Yes I know the L and M look odd, but they moved from old cpu and keeping the drives the same has made migration easier.)

I know this is an old thread... but would it be possible to get one of these made for the F: drive as well? Thank you so much for making these! The D: drive one worked like a charm.
