Personalization Add Stickers to Desktop in Windows 11

Desktop_Stickers_banner.png

This tutorial will show you how to add stickers to the desktop for your account in Windows 11.

Desktop Stickers is a hidden feature in Windows 11 that allows you to choose and edit stickers for your wallpaper when using Windows Spotlight or a picture with Fill as your desktop background image.

Using the new sticker editor you can pick, place, and resize stickers as you like. It can be accessed through Settings or by right-clicking your desktop.

When you change your desktop background picture, your stickers will still remain.

The Desktop Stickers feature is currently not officially released to Windows 11 yet, but if you would like to give Desktop Stickers a play with now, you can enable Desktop Stickers in Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621 and higher now.

Desktop Stickers currently does not support multiple displays.

Desktop Stickers has not officially been released to Windows 11 by Microsoft yet, so it may still have or cause issues. Future changes might remove the feature or enable it by default.

If you enable Desktop Stickers and it doesn't fully work or causes issues, then you can just disable Desktop Stickers.

I updated my windows 10 laptop to windows 11 when we had gotten that update for windows 10 PC that didn't even meet requirements for the update I ran it and it works fine. But some of the options I think I should have I don't have. Such as stickers and some other options. Is there a way to get stickers to work even on my laptop. My windows version is
Windows 11 Home 22H2
OS Build 22621.457
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22634.1000.0

I hope this information helps. Is there an area on elevenforum.com that can show me what all I can do with this version of windows and what should be included and how to use it.

I think stickers should be on it but not to sure. I did add the stickers in regedit but its grayed out on settings area and desktop right click.

Hello Dawn, :-)

If you have multiple displays, then Desktop Stickers will be grayed out like that.

I just unplugged my HDMI Cable connecting to my TV and the stickers is no longer grayed out. I think it is stupid you can't use the stickers on a secondary monitor. But on well. I at least know it works now for when I decide to use it on my laptop for when my desktop becomes my "Entertainment PC".

Hopefully, it'll eventually support multiple displays. At least to have it work on the main display.
