I want to add columns in some of my folders but I have no clue how to do it. I've Googled this question and I've found that you are supposed to click on any column header and a drop-down box should appear and you can add them that way but you must be in View>Details which I am in. Needless to say, it doesn't work. I've looked in all the top ribbon details and adding columns does not appear in any of them. The version of Win 11 I am running is 21H2, OS Build 22000.434, Edition: Windows 11 Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello xpac5896, :-)

You should be able to right click on a column title to see the menu to select "More" details.

The tutorial below can help show you what this will look like.

Hey, guys I really appreciate the help. Realizing Win 11 is new, gotta find out how to do things all over again. I think they should have stayed with the Win 10 ribbon for files but I guess change is inevitable. Thanks again.

You can change back to the Windows 10 ribbon bar, easily... among other tweaks.
The 2nd tweak here, will give you the Win 10 ribbon bar...

I've already used the tweak to get the Win 10 ribbon bar.
Anyway.. just right click where the RED dot is... (works in any folder or on any drive)

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
I wonder if there is a personalization app out there that makes the W11 GUI just like the W10 GUI.

Edit: It's not for me, just curious.
