Tuesday I posted a question blue/green screen that comes on with "Do not turn off your computer while update is downloaded" asking about odd update requests. I got one yesterday and today. Both times I let them work. Now I noticed my curser moving in jerky motions all around thje screen like it was being controlled remotely. Both times it finished, a program I hadn' had open was open. Also, Amazon sent me a text asking if I had requested a password change. I am assuming I have been hacked. I did change my Router, Laptop, and banking P/W yesterday. I guess what I'm asking, am I correct in assuming this is not good. TIA

Yes, and they show nothing. Defender and Malwarebytes. The Win update history shows the last update as July 11, 2024

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
You could try going to Settings >> Apps >> Startup and check for any unusual or suspicious apps that are being enabled at startup.

I got one yesterday and today. Both times I let them work.
What updates did you get? Under "Settings -> Windows Update" you can look and see which update it was. The most common update would be a Security Update. Those will happen every day. Others, not so often.

Now I noticed my curser moving in jerky motions all around the screen like it was being controlled remotely.
That sounds like your "touchpad" is still turned on, while your using your wireless mouse. Yes, it does make the computer seem like it is possessed. The touchpad can be turned off, when the wireless mouse is being used, under "Settings -> Bluetooth and Devices -> Touchpad".

When MS first started doing W11 updates, they would often change some of your settings during an update. Each time, you would have to go back through your settings and reset every thing. But they stopped doing that. Maybe you got an odd update.

With me, every time I do updates, and reboot, MS starts "Widgets". But I have them disabled and don't use them. But it restarts with every reboot. I just use the "Task Manager" and stop it from running, every single time I reboot.

Note: Update KB5040527 just showed up this morning on my computer. I will probably let it sit there for a few days, before I install it. I usually wait until it's convenient for me. If I reboot, it will automatically download and install when the laptop reboots.
