Domain based Windows 11 Pro work computer can't be set to require logon after sleep.
Windows lock "Win+L" locks PC and to unlock requires ctrl+alt+delete.
Single appropriate setting seems to be:
"if you've been away when should Windows require you to sign in again?" has been set to "When PC wakes up from sleep" , single other option to select is "never"
No MS account used.
I have spent already several hours attempting to find solution also with google search but finally I must give up.

After sleep a user that was signed in remains signed in for as long as it doesn't sign out.
The only difference is that it's account is locked upon sleep and needs credentials to unlock (not to sign in)
I understand that in your case when the computer is put to sleep a user that was signed in doesn't require credentials to unlock? it immediately goes into their account without credentials?

At work when computer goes to sleep in 10 minutes, I expect that credentials are required later to unlock desktop.
That's how old Windows 10 computer unlocks desktop after sleep mode.
Windows 11 Pro is new fresh installation.

Plese confirm the following GPO settings are properly set as shown below:
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options
- Interactive logon: Display user information when the session is locked (Do not display user information)
- Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL (Disabled)
Afterward plese run gpupdate.exe in an elevated CMD prompt then sign out and sign in again followed by putting the PC to sleep to test.
