I have been looking at Dell Inspiron 24 5000 All-in-One with Dell Cinema | Dell USA which will be used for checking Gmail, looking up cooking recipes on YouTube, showing others on the couch 10 feet away a street view of a new neighborhood restaurant, etc. As to the general setting, the device will be placed on a small computer table with a land-line telephone and a small workspace. There is a separate TV in the room, and yes, we have been passing phones and tablets around while watching TV on the couch. The device is to replace an older and slightly smaller one that is getting a bit slow, even for the non-demanding use. It has to be Windows so that all members of the family can use the device.

Any comments about the device in the URL?
Any recommendations for other devices?

It looks sweet, but how upgradeable is this? The amount of RAM and SDD size are not very impressive. I can see quickly running out of space on the SSD. You might not want an external drive cluttering up your surroundings. You don't want to find yourself in the same position of the system getting too slow down the road or running out of space, after all.

What about something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaC...s=all-in-one+computers&qid=1631444972&sr=8-5? It's about the same price but has double the RAM and SSD space. Also, it should be compatible with Windows 11. The CPU is, at least.

Yes, the Lenovo is a better buy than the Dell, thanks! It's for non-demanding family use, there won't be any HW upgrades ever, the only 'upgrade' our aging, equally modest AIO has ever had is a small wireless keyboard that has an integrated touchpad (similar to that of a laptop) which we will re-use for the new machine (perhaps this holiday season if the new W11 machines turn out well)
