any easy way or easy app to back up MICROSOFT EDGE ?

I loooked on google all I got was move files around and such

i jnow for a fact i used an app long time ago that backed up all browsers Firefox edge chrome

But I cant find it

I've always had a Microsoft Office subscription and its now called Microsoft 365. I was just curious if those that do the workarounds to avoid using a Microsoft Account get their Edge data backed up in the Microsoft cloud. My guess would be that without a Microsoft Account there would be no way for Microsoft to identify you and thus you wouldn't have synced Edge data.

are you able to log in to you microsoft account after you did a full reinstall of windows // without remembering your password ? //
can you do that ?

Nope, there is no way to get to my Microsoft Account without using my password. I've always had a Microsoft Account. I understand that a Microsoft Account is required to use cloud OneDrive. I have 1 Terabyte of Microsoft OneDrive and keep my data and photos in OneDrive.

How do I backup my Microsoft Edge passwords?


How to Export Edge Passwords
  1. Launch the Edge browser and click Options > Settings.
  2. Select Profiles from the menu, then press Passwords on the right.
  3. Click the three dots next to Saved passwords, then select Export passwords.
  4. Select a save location, then press Save.

I didn't know Edge could import and export its saved passwords!

One of the first things I do with Edge is turn off "saving passwords" as I use a separate Password Manager.

I just waded through the Edge Settings, Profiles to get to the Password part, clicked the eyeball on each to show the password then Saved the page as settings.html, a Web page that is viewable in other browsers. Took a whopping 2 minutes out of my day. Works on Win11 and Win10.
