Love fast boots
I want to take back what I said about Macruim Reflect Pro version. After many hours of booting system and rebooting. I narrow my problem down to my router. Why it didn't like Macruim Reflect I don't know. It was giving out anyways(could not get into the routers page). So replaced the router and NOW I have 2 paid programs for backing up my system. Macruim Reflect and AOMIE Backupper. Both work good now with my Nas.

A lot of the 32GB emmc tablets used an unusual 32bit uefi installation. I tested all the main players a while back, and only Macrium Reflect and Easeus Todo could back them up AND restore. AOMEI, Acronis, Windows own tool!, Patagon to name a few all failed (some would not back up, others backed up and would not restore).

Macrium remains my number 1 still !
Made a boot-CD with AoMei , but when rebooting ( pushing F8 ) , it shows my Kingston SSD ( OS on it) and the CD/DVD-drive with the AoMei boot-Cd in it.
I choosed for the boot-CD , and ..........went straight into the BIOS (EUFI0 , in BIOS the boot-media is nowhere to be seen !!
Tried to make it with USB-stick , SD-card , same results ...........its showing in the boot-sequence ( F8) ; 1. the SSD 2.the boot-media with AoMei on it.
In Win10 no problems with booting in AoMei , but 10 has Legacy-BIOS , my 11 has EUFI ...........
NOT POSSIBLE to boot with it , in 11 .................any solution ??
Macrium and some other boot-media did not have these problem !
So, untill a working solution appears , I can only use the Macrium boot-media in 11............

Tried to make it with USB-stick , SD-card , same results ...........its showing in the boot-sequence ( F8) ; 1. the SSD 2.the boot-media with AoMei on it.
In Win10 no problems with booting in AoMei , but 10 has Legacy-BIOS , my 11 has EUFI ...........
NOT POSSIBLE to boot with it , in 11 .................any solution ??
Macrium and some other boot-media did not have these problem !
So, untill a working solution appears , I can only use the Macrium boot-media in 11............

In the end, it all depends on needs and experience.

AOMEI is easier for beginners, but is not that flexible. I see little point in using AOMEI if you are experienced in using Macrium Reflect.

A couple of minor observations I have re. AOMEI:

1) if you create a (UEFI) system backup, it creates an image with three partitions i.e. EFI, System (C) drive and recovery partition. It does not create the 16 MB MSR partition.

In terms of functionality, the MSR partition is not of any use, so excluding it does not create any issues. However, it does mean the partitioning is not strictly compliant with MS guidelines.

2) I have asked this question before but no response. If you select to restore partitions, as far as I can tell, you can only restore one partition at a time i.e. you cannot select 2 or more and restore at the same time.

To me, AOMEI is only really useful if you just want to make full, differential and incremental backup (one area AOMEI scores over Reflect is incremental backups in free version). However, if you want to manipulate partitions, mount images as vm etc. Reflect is much more flexible.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Still dont know WHY Im directed into the EUFI-bios , when my booting-choise (F8) is the AoMei boot-CD !
And when in BIOS , I cant find the boot-media , only the SSD (OS).................!!!!

The boot disk for AOMEI is Linux based. The one for Macrium is Win PE. A Linux disk will not boot if secure boot is turned on. You have to turn that off in the BIOS first.

Yes , I choosed for the WinPE , but this one gave me the problems I mentioned before in this forum.....
While Macrium booted fine , after choosing it (F8) ...........AoMei went straight into BIOS !!!

Okay, I made mine with an older version that didn't have that option. I guess I need a new disc. As far as I can see though, in AOMEI, the Linux one is the default choice.
My statement still stands though. I have 3 different partition manager boot discs, Partition Wizard, Gparted, and Easeus. Only the Easeus one will boot with secure boot on because the other 2 are Linux based.
