I have just tried it with UEFI/TPM/secure boot On and USB booted just fine.

I use CD's. The Win PE CD boots but takes longer than the Linux one. PE boots with Secure Boot on, Linux does not.

I just dont understand this problem at all !!
Just impossible to boot with AoMei ...........whatever I do !
Only one way to boot with AoMei is to boot with the DVD of WinPE10_8_Sergei_Strelec ............this DVD has a lot of software , which you can use .
Latest Macrium and AoMei ( boot-media) are included also.
Shows the DVD with F8 , but boots with it .............the AoMei boot-CD shows also in F8 , but directs into BIOS each time I choose for the boot-media..................
Still no solution so far.............

You can borrow mine 1904v3.iso Extract the iso to bootable usb, which can be done with usb7ice (attached below) . The programs run from the usb so can be easily updated and added to.

They are in the folder on the usb called Uprograms. The free version of Aomei Backupper is in there. If you have a more recent version /higher edition installed, plug the usb into your running system and run the get-backupper-files.cmd. It will copy the files from your installed version onto the usb stick. Or if you run dism++ and it asks to update, say yes and it will update itself on the usb stick, which persists.

I tried the Aomei Backup free version. I got this message after attempting to explore a dssk backup of my boot drive - which is something I frequently do with Macrium:

Image preview is initializing...
Checking integrity of the image files...
Information Code:4125
Failed to explore or preview the image.

I'm uninstalling it - there may be a fix for this problem but I can't justify the time required to determine that since I know Macrium works OK.

Exploring the image is easy. The program will mount it as a virtual disk. Actually a Windows 11 image will mount as 3 virtual disks. You just open them in File Explorer.

Oh really? What if Windows doesn't mount any disk? Which it didn't for me on either of 2 attempts. And aside from that, you can select only the volume you want mounted - there's no need to mount the other 2 partitions.

Still dont know why my boot-media , made by the AoMei-program , did not boot at all ............

That's true but I always mount the entire image.

Aomei is a very good program, I'm sure. However, the only backup I can seem to get to work properly is Macrium. I have an Optane drive and the driver seems to be a problem for Aomei, while Macrium takes care of it. My specs are: Acer Aspire TC-885-ACCFLi5O Desktop, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8400, 8GB DDR4 + 16GB Optane Memory, 1TB HDD. If anyone knows the solution with Aomei, I would appreciate input. Thanks. I have tried it several times and no luck.

It will not restore properly- missing the driver for the Optane drive - it seems to back up but restoring will not complete properly. I am not a "techie" so I'm not sure what exactly the problem might be, but I just gave up trying. I didn't make thee greatest choice in choosing an additional optane drive for that matter. It runs fine but can't be defragmented and problem backing up due to driver. Had I known...............

One way to solve this is to download driver for the optane driver, and inject it into the boot.wim file on the sources folder on the recovery drive using dism.

It is not that difficult but does assume a bit of knowledge of how to use dism. There are plenty of web guides - google "add drivers to boot.wim".
