I am finding with Windows 11, that applications on the Taskbar, whether they be open or closed don't always respond on first click.
I find myself having to click again sometimes.
Could it be the icon animation you see when clicking on a Taskbar application icon that is causing it?
To test if it is causing the problem, can that animation be disabled?

I still find myself having to click a second time on items minimized on the Taskbar.
I see an animation that shows that the click has been registered, but the item on the Taskbar stays minimized on the Taskbar requiring me to click it again.
I don't have this problem with Windows 10. I am using a wired mouse. I have tried a couple of different wired mice.
I really don't think that this problem is related to a mouse as it only occurs with minimized items on the Windows 11 Taskbar.
