Not sure what your issue is with me, but I'm here to answer questions and post my thoughts just like you. If you have a problem with that, perhaps you should just put me on ignore. I didn't do anything to you to warrant your utterly unnecessary rude responses.

And like it or not you're NOT the only one in this thread that knows audio gear. I've been in this hobby since the 70's. I know a thing or two myself.

That was my impression too! Perfect atmosphere!
I think the engineers knew what they were doing, as it was recorded in a rather intimate church setting in the Netherlands.

I'm sure it is, but I've only so much to spend on music so, and my first love is still jazz, R&B, and rock, so....

It's fine just where it's at. I've already went crazy last year with all the gear and music, so now I'm about to tone it down.... maybe :unsure:

First and foremost, I consider myself a serious lover of classical music and have been for 50 years and know much more about that than audiophile stuff. My interest in audiophile equipment comes a long second. Sound for its own sake doesn't interest me.

That's all fine and dandy as I too am first and foremost a music lover but for me it's also about having good gear to listen to, and so that's where I'm coming from with some of my comments. That however doesn't mean I'm talking down to those who don't place a premium on gear as I do.

Anyway, I think (hope) we can converse without bad feelings. I certainly would welcome that.

I come from the school of garbage in garbage out. If the gear is crappy the music will sound crappy.... no matter how great the recording.

While it is very true you don't need good gear to enjoy music, good gear will DEFINITELY improve your listening experience.

Anyway, this is like talking about performance cars to people who are just into getting from point A to B, and not about the enjoyment of the ride. I get it. I'm not into collecting monitors, cause for me one it more than enough, but for others the more the merrier ;-)

I won't waste any more time taking about my worthless hobby here :-)

Yes, he was one of the masters. He was also great in 20th century music. This one is a personal favorite of mine.
